Korat is hot. Time to go to Urban beach!

 While Korat is not humid like Singapore, the heat makes up for it as it is near 40 degrees centigrade in the afternoon.

You need some “pitstops” to cool down if out and about and Urban beach café is perfect for this.
Here is another of Korat’s brilliant, independent cafes.​​


Maison Sukho, 7th March 2020      
While I enjoyed walking 10 to 15 minutes or so to several of my neighbourhood coffee houses; given the heat now in Thailand in March, it makes sense to do what the Thais do, which is not to walk more than 5 minutes to any one place , hence my real, local place within 5 minutes reach of my house, is Maison Sukho.
  

 The incongruity of Maison Sukho to the rest of the neighbourhood would be a little surreal if it was not the case that elegant coffee houses in seemingly non descript areas, are all over Korat.

On my webpage, cafes and restaurants, you can see the wall and sign of Maison Sukho and I share the photos that greet you when you enter the place.
A café latte which comes with a refreshing small cup of tea is just 60 baht (GBP 1.50, less than 2 US dollars).
Maison Sukho is a great place to further relax and have some quiet moments to oneself or as the Thais do, to catch up with neighbourhood friends.

A Random walk around town, 20 February 2020

Apart from the golden sunshine that welcomes you every day, one thing that strikes me are the magnificent trees that are all around the town.
Not only does it help with the sun but they are also very soothing for the eyes.
